Farook College, today,is the biggest residential postgraduate institution in Ker- ala o ering 20 undergraduate, 15 postgraduate and Eight Ph.D. programmes.
The college has been accredited at Five star level in 2001 and re-accredited at A Grade in 2009 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore. The college has been adjudged by the Government of Kerala to receive R. Sankar Award for the best rst grade (Private) college in the state of Kerala for two years. The College has been identi ed by the UGC as a College with Potential for Excellence (CPE) since 2004, the rst college under Calicut University to receive this status.
The College has won the Moulana Abul Kalam Azad Literacy Award for promoting education among the backward minorities in 2005. The college has also been granted minority stuts in 2005 by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, Govt. of India.
Having been conferred academic autonomy by UGC from 2015 onwards, the college is now attempting for a quantum leap towards academic excellence.
